So, even if I have the universal serial number, there's no opportunity to use it. But, I can't reinstall 3.0.1! I have it downloaded, but when I click on it, it asks me if I want to allow Adobe to alter my computer I give it permission.then it just goes away. I copied and pasted and replaced the original Default Edit View file, which as I said had been blank in my current, corrupted version, and lo and behold, I got my access to Edit View back! Hold on, I'm not completely out of the woods yet.įor one thing, I still get a popup when starting the program, telling me "A previous session of Audition exited prematurely", and no matter if I choose "Continue now", "Delete", "Continue later", or just exit the popup, it keeps complaining about it whenever I open the program back up.įor the other thing, I uninstalled 3.0.1 before preparing to uninstall 3.0. I got into my old hard drive, where 3.0 was first installed in 2007. I've been with this program since the CoolEdit days, and have never encountered this much difficulty. So I'm asking again, please, do I need to uninstall anything first before trying to re-install? Will my original 3.0 discs be neccessary for the re-install and if so, will they work with the universal serial number? Or, do I just need to uninstall 3.0.1 in order for the 3.0.1 "patch" from Adobe to work? I have an assignment I have been trying to get done since the 14th, the day I first came here looking for answers. I have the universal serial number given to me when I downloaded the 3.0 install from Adobe in 2014, the day I originally got, and saved the universal number. I just pulled the 3.0.1 "patch" off Adobe's website on Monday (I tried just running it that day, but it disappeared after clicking on it, and since I don't know if it actually re-installed or not - and the problem still exists - I can't tell if I am doing it right). ![]() To be honest, when I'm sitting here with the programs and serial numbers in my hands, and work to do once this problem gets fixed, three days seems a bit long to have to wait for instructions.
